St. John's Co-Cathedral

A seemingly plain exterior hides one of the most lavish Baroque interiors in Europe, home to masterpieces by Caravaggio.

Built by the Knights of St. John, the cathedral is filled with gilded stonework, marble tombs, and richly painted ceilings. It is Valletta’s most important religious and artistic landmark.
